Built on what got me sober.
Seven years ago, I moved into my first sober living home. I didn't want to be there, and honestly, I didn't want to be sober. Not long after, I was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma and went through chemotherapy while living in that house.
There's no doubt in my mind I wouldn't have made it through without that sober living. The bed and the rules weren't what saved me. The men in that house were. They became my friends, then my family. I loved those guys, and I couldn't have stayed sober without them. Many of them are still my closest friends today.
That's why I started Williams Recovery: to build a house that offers more than a bed. It offers real community, with people walking the same path together.
